ooc: "Historical" Timeline/stuffing kaz's blood back into his body

Dates Justification:
Canon explicitly states Atem is an 18th dynasty Pharaoh. Tutankhamen's life and, specifically, senet board OOCly inspired the series, and Atem's uncle Akhenaden has almost the same name as Akhenaten, a controversial Pharaoh from this period. Akhenaten came to power because his elder brother Crown Prince Thutmose passed away before their father did.

Therefore: I'm working off the idea that Thutmose never died and that he and Akhnamkhanon are the same guy. So canon subs in place of a good chunk of Amenhotep's reign, the whole Amarna period, and most of Tut's (Atem dies younger than Tut did.)

All dates are thus derived from deciding Tut's birth year = Atem's birth year. Tut's birth year is itself a guess, and a bunch of these other dates are averages ("we know it happened between year a & year c"=I put it as year b), but it's card games on stelae. Don't worry about it.

("But Mari, Tutankhamen is mentioned in canon!" THEY HAD A SECRET TO COVER UP AND A SOULLESS BODY TO BURY, AND PUTTING ATEM'S DUCKY SHIT IN THE ~NAMELESS PHARAOH'S TOMB~ WOULD HAVE HURT HIS IMAGE. Whether Amarna is also a hoax to cover up this period or just doesn't exist on the YGO historical record is anyone's guess!)

Note:
I prioritize what's on the page in the manga > author's notes/word-of-god > narratively-compelling canon/history mashups > history. I will label this shit so if anybody wants to use my research for their own work they know what's canon, what's history, and what's "I've connected the two dots" (I didn't connect shit).

ANYWAY, DATES.

c.1506–1493 BCE - Tomb-building town Deir el-Medina founded. Does this replace Kul Elna after they "went bad"? (history-ish; Deir el-Medina being active is canon)
c.1440 BCE - Work translating the Millennium Tome begins. Where it came from is unknown; it was "passed down by the high priests since ancient times" (canon, translation took 100 years)
c.1401 BCE - Amenhotep III, Atem's grandfather, born. (history)
c.1398 BCE - Tiye, great royal wife of Amenhotep III and thus Atem's grandma, born. (history)
c.1387 BCE - Amenhotep III's reign begins. Loads of propaganda, centralizing of authority in the figure of Pharaoh. Cursory foreign expeditions but international policy was Give Peace A Chance. Maybe not the strongest king but had some great spin doctors. Tiye did the heavy lifting. (history)
1382 BCE - Siamun Muran born. (57 in canon)
1380? BCE - Akhnamkhanon/"Crown Prince Thutmose" born. (history-ish; birthdate unknown & this works our purposes)
1376-1369 BCE - Likely plague/pestilence (dearth of records; lots of Sekhmet statues). Possibly all the Building is an appeal to the gods. This isn't 100% a golden age it's "O GODS, PLEASE INTERVENE, WE'RE DYING SQUIRTLE"
1371 BCE - Akhenaden born. (46 in canon, within possible range for irl Akhenaten)
1365 BCE - Akhnamkhanon's reign begins. Let's say Amenhotep steps down in favor of his beloved golden child. (reign length is canon) Let's also say "Thutmose" changes his name to Akhnamkhanon because the past Thutmose kings were warmongers and he wishes to be a king of PEACE. Torture dungeons closed (also canon).
c. 1350 BCE - Amenhotep III dies. (history)
1350? BCE - Kalim born. (dead ringer for Rishid, who is 25 in canon)
1347 BCE - Mahad born. (22 in canon)
1346? BCE - Shada born. (No age given but likely contemporary of Set's given their closeness; babyfaced)
1346? BCE - TKB born. (word of god says he's younger, but manga shows him around this age, and he needs to be old enough to remember Kul Elna)
1345? BCE - Isis born. (dead ringer for Ishizu, who is 20 in canon)
1345? BCE - Set born. (when Items are made, looks like Mokuba did age 5)
1341 BCE - Atem born. (16 in canon)
1340 BCE - Invasion of Egypt by outside forces said to be seeking Millennium Tome. Kul Elna massacre; creation of Millennium Items. Siamun is already vizier. (canon)
1339 BCE - Assassination attempt on Akhnamkhanon by a court astronomer's servant. Akhenaden and the wielders of the Rod & Scales discover this astronomer breaking into the Shrine of Wdju. He is a spy from Kul Elna who learned of the massacre. He merges his ba with his ka, Tragoedia. The priests seal him, but he can still communicate, so Akhenaden orders Tragoedia's tablet broken in pieces and buried/sealed, and that the king never be informed. (GX manga/debatably canon)
1338 BCE - Mana born. (13 in canon)
c.1338 BCE - Tiye dies. Possibly another plague. (history)
1335 BCE - Akhnamkhanon's first Sed-festival.
1332 BCE - Akhnamkhanon's second Sed-festival, if he kept to "every 3 years after the first one." Atem becomes co-regent? See: him wearing the Pendant in the flashback. Perhaps it Accepted him and as a result they decided co-ruling was a good idea. (Tut became king around 8-9 years old so this is in accordance with history, so: canon-ish, history-ish.)
1330 BCE - Original Ring-bearer (I'M FUNNY) dies. Mahad is summoned to become a priest because of his immense heka, is accepted by the Ring, and uses his magic to seal its EEVVIL. Mana is already his apprentice.
1329 BCE - Akhnamkhanon's third Sed-festival.
1326 BCE - Akhnamkhanon's fourth Sed-festival. Perhaps this is what finally drives Mahad to feel like he has to say something. He can't take the duplicity.
1325 BCE - Akhnamhkhanon dies, creating Hassan & sealing him in Tablet. Atem becomes Pharaoh. First TKB and then Akhenaden attempt to assemble the Items and summon Zorc. The first fails, the latter succeeds, but presumably TKB Parasite Minds himself into the Ring (he also puts some element of himself into the Eye). If casualties in MW mirror casualties IRL, Mahad, Kalim, Shada, Siamun, TKB all die. Atem seals himself & Zorc Necrophades (Priest ver.) into the Pendant, which shatters and becomes the Puzzle. Zorc (dragon dick ver.) presumably once more sealed in afterlife/behind door. Set becomes King.

SO MUCH FOR DATING CANON EVENTS. There's a bunch of Fun History that can be added (Set could have six sisters!) and I might put that in the comments.
